Happy memories years ago, <br />Are locked away like treasure, <br />Buried in the soft warm soil, <br />Far down and deep, cannot be measured. <br /> <br />Though the years may pass, <br />And the treasure remains locked, <br />The untouched memories still sleep, <br />Even if connections are lost. <br /> <br />But buried treasure is to be found, <br />This is the reason they are hidden, <br />So destiny shows the light of the treasure, <br />All are overruling the forbidden. <br /> <br />Yes, I found the treasure that day, <br />The light was still so enchanting, <br />My hand and heart reached for the lock, <br />The prize thought to be granting. <br /> <br />Happy memories years ago, <br />Finally released from its protection, <br />I grasped the treasure with my soul, <br />Causing a form of resurrection. <br /> <br />Part of myself has returned, <br />A part I stowed away, <br />This is why I write today, <br />Because I wish to share what I regained. <br /> <br />Happy memories years ago, <br />Were locked away like treasure, <br />Buried in the soft warm soil, <br />Remnants of my past pleasure.<br /><br />Sonia H.<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/finding-the-buried-treasure-of-ago/
